2″ Aloe Vera in White Ceramic
Lots of aloe in a little pot!
People have been growing Aloe for thousands of years – and for good reason! These plants are as practical as they are beautiful, and are one of the most common medicinal plants on the planet. There are over 300 species of Aloe vera. Aloe Vera has thick, succulent leaves that are plumped up with a watery gel. The leaves grow from the base of the plant, in a rosette, and have jagged edges with flexible spines. Aloe is an easy care houseplant and should receive care similar to most succulent plants.
Water: Low. Let soil completely dry before watering. When watering, soil should be thoroughly drenched, but the water should be allowed to drain freely from the soil.
Sunlight: Bright Indirect. Too much hot sun can burn the leaves and give the plant a scraggly appearance.
Placement: A western or southern window is ideal. Aloe that are kept in low light often grow.
